Date: Mon, 27 Feb 1989 12:20:00 -0500 1998-020 Provident Life & Accident Insurance Company ORDINANCE NO. 10680 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS TO REZONE TRACTS OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 500 BLOCKS OF LINDSAY STREET AND HOUSTON STREET, AND THE 400 BLOCK OF VINE STREET, BEING ON THE NORTHWEST AND SOUTHEAST LINES OF LINDSAY STREET AT VINE STREET, THE NORTHWEST LINE OF HOUSTON STREET AT VINE STREET, AND THE NORTHEAST LINE OF VINE STREET AT LINDSAY STREET AND HOUSTON STREET, FROM R-4 SPECIAL ZONE TO C-3 CENTRAL BUSINESS ZONE, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS. _______________________ SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is hereby amended so as to rezone: Tracts of land located in the 500 blocks of Lindsay Street and Houston Street, and the 400 block of Vine Street, being on the northwest and southeast lines of Lindsay Street at Vine Street, the northwest line of Houston Street at Vine Street, and the northeast line of Vine Street at Lindsay Street and Houston Street. Lots 2, 4, 7, 9, and 11, blcok B, the south 165 feet of lot 3, block B, the south 172.5 feet of lot 5, block B, and lot 1, block B, with the exception of the east 15 feet of the north 57.5 feet of said lot 1; being all of tax parcel numbers 135M-G-17, 24, and 25, and all of tax parcel number 135M-G-1 which is currently zoned R-4. 0C from R-4 Special Zone to C-3 Central Business Zone. SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning shall be subject to the following conditions: 1. The development of two hundred (200) off-street parking spaces on site and one hundred (100) off-street parking spaces off-site; 2. Eighty (80%) percent of building frontage being located within fifteen (15) feet of property lines along Vine Street; 3. Maximum height of any structures to be no higher than six (6) stories; 4. Minimum of fifty (50) percent window/door openings on ground floor along the Vine Street frontage; 5. No Vine Street curb cuts; and 6. All existing easements are retained. SECTION 3. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as provided by law.
